tenders for Frozen Plasma Thawing Devices.\n\nThe procurement concerns thawing devices in the Blood Banks of Helsinki University Hospital Diagnostics Center (hereinafter \"DGC\"). The Procurement is a comprehensive solution including the following:\n\n- Thawing devices;\n- Software;\n- Licenses, rights, and authorisations;\n- Training, technical support, and user guidance;\n- Maintenance, updates, and support.\n\nThe procurement has been divided into two lots:\n\nLot 1: Water bath thawing devices (0-3 devices per year)\nLot 2: Dry thawing devices (0-1 devices per year)\n\nThe tender may tender one or both lots. In each lot, HUS selects one (1) supplier with whom it shall sign a contract. In addition to the main contract for the devices, the Contracting Entity will enter into a Maintenance Contract with the Supplier for the maintenance of the devices.\n\nThe Agreement is in force for a fixed period of two (2) years, and after which the Agreement is valid until further notice.  The supply period is estimated to begin in August 2024. \n\nThe subject of the procurement and related requirements are described in more detail in the invitation to tender and its annexes. At the beginning of 2024, DGC has nine (9) hospital blood banks:\n\nHospital Blood Bank of the Meilahti Hospital\nHospital Blood Bank of the Peijas Hospital Laboratory\nHospital Blood Bank of the Hyvinkää Hospital Laboratory\nHospital Blood Bank of the Porvoo Hospital Laboratory\nHospital Blood Bank of the Lohja Hospital Laboratory\nHospital Blood Bank of the Jorvi Hospital Laboratory\nHospital Blood Bank of the Kymenlaakso Central Hospital Laboratory\nHospital Blood Bank of the Ratamokeskus Laboratory\nHospital Blood Bank of the Etelä-Karjala Central Hospital Laboratory\n\nThe number of Hospital Blood Banks may change (increase or decrease) during the contract period. The number of devices required for Hospital Blood Banks depends on the size of the Hospital Blood Bank and the blood usage of healthcare units. The number of devices ordered is estimated to be approximately 2-4/year. The need may vary during the contract period. Especially during the first two (2) contract years, the number of thawing devices to be ordered may be lower, as the need for new devices also depends, among other factors, on the lifespan of the current or replaceable devices in the Hospital Blood Banks. The estimates of procurement quantities presented in the invitation to tender are estimates and are not binding on the Contracting Entity.\n\nWhen the agreement period ends, the Subscriber has the right to redeem the devices by notifying of the redemption of options in writing to the Supplier.
