This standardization allows for seamless transfer of\nvalidated panels from the A8 to the S8 and vice versa without re-optimizing, a unique advantage among\nanalyzer-sorter combinations. Researchers can develop panels, set up compensation, and screen\nsamples on the A8, then confidently sort on the S8, ensuring data reproducibility. BD's \"perform as one\"\ncalibration philosophy facilitates experiment transferability within our facility and across all FACSDiscover\nsystems globally, enhancing multi-site collaborations and reproducibility.\nThe superior imaging capabilities of the A8, and the identical optical architecture of BD FACSDiscover A8,\nis essential for analyses process in our infrastructure. The CellView™ Imaging parameters make it\npossible to use completely new parameters for identifying populations of interest. In addition to the\nfluorescent parameters normally measured with a flow cytometer this instrument allows new spatial dimensions with parameters such as diffusivity, max intensity, radial moment, and 12 other automatically\ngenerated parameters. These parameters are crucial for several types of experiments in the infrastructure.\nWe already have experiments from several research groups waiting for this instrument to the research\ninfrastructure since they need parameters that cannot be measured with any other instrument on the\nmarket. These experiments include e.g.\n• Location and translocation assays. Cells analyzed should have the desired protein located in the\ncytoplasm or the nucleus. With CellView cells with the correct expression pattern can be selected\nfor analysis. Without images, the location is not known.\n• Identification of real cell-cell interactions with high throughput speed. This is crucial for ongoing\nimmuno-oncology studies of interaction of T and NK-cells with cancer tumor cells. In addition we\nget frequent requests for different cell-immune cell interaction analysis. Without images, real cellcell\ninteractions are not distinguished from doublets.\n• Studies and identification of chromatophores morphological properties. This experimental setup\nrelies totally on the image parameters.\n• Image verification of the rare event populations. This is invaluable for several researchers\nanalysing very rare cell populations. They get an immediate verification based on the image\nwhether the event is
